A gathering to honor model workers and exemplary individuals is held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, capital of China on November 24, 2020. Xu Chuan, head of the Research and Development of Shehong Plant of Tianqi, was recognized as a national model worker by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.
The honorary title is the highest honor for Chinese workers and is selected every five years. A total of 94 deputies attended this gathering and were all seriously selected. Under public scrutiny, they are exemplary models that made outstanding contributions to social and economic undertakings in Sichuan.

Xu is good at exploring technological improvements and development trends of the industry. During the eight years in Tianqi Lithium, he always does his work diligently and assiduously. He has also applied for several research projects and completed them seriously, so he has achieved fruitful results. Up to now, Xu has obtained 18 national authorized patents, including 9 invention patents, and participated in the formulation and revision of 5 national and industrial standards. With the research and development achievements that he has involved in, Tianqi improved product quality and core technical competitiveness, and created good economic benefits. These achievements also played a positive role in promoting social and economic development.
In 2018, Xu Chuan won the Inorganic Chemical Science and Technology Progress Award by China Chemical Industry Association and the second prize by Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award;
In 2019, Xu Chuan won the first prize of sci-tech progress of China Nonferrous Metals Association and the honorary title of "May 1st" Labor Medal of Sichuan Province;
