In order to promote cultural exchanges between China and Chile, spread the idea of sustainable development and share ESG management experience, Tianqi Lithium held a "WE SHARE" ESG cocktail party at InterContinental Hotel in Santiago, Chile on May 17, 2022.

Topics such as sustainable business development were discussed by local government officials, business leaders, ESG experts and academic representatives at the reception.
The party kicked off with a theme video-"WE SHARE" which shows, with colored sand paintings, how Tianqi has fulfilled its social responsibilities in line with 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

In the opening speech, he mentioned that global climate risk is one of the most serious risks throughout the development of human society and the world has reached a consensus on the need to fight climate change. Meanwhile, he said the company wants to participate in the community integration and construction in Chile and promote the sustainable development of ESG for the new energy industry together with all stakeholders.
Speeches about views on the industry and ESG sustainable development were given by Enrique Correa Ríos, chairman of Imaginaccion, a well-known strategic consultancy; Señor Diego Hernández Cabrera, chairman of Chile National Mining Association; Dante Pesce Gonzalez, founder and executive director of Vincular Sustainable Business Center of Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaiso, Chile; Jeannette von Wolfersdorff, economist at Aachen University, Germany; Gonzalo Guerrero, chairman of SQM Board, among other guests.

President HA also shared the important decision to set up an office in Santiago, Chile, which will serve as an important carrier for sustainable development there. He also showed the guests a special gift from China-Sichuan embroidery “Furong Jinli”, which represents the company’s aspiration of “changing the world with lithium”, and both “Furong” (hibiscus) and “Jinli” (Koi) can remind people of Chengdu. This work was created by Feng Ying, a student from Shehong Special Education School in Sichuan, China, and she is also one of the children involved in "Brightest Star" non-profit project funded by Tianqi.
In the end, President HA sent the invitation to all relevant parties who have an interest in ESG in Chile to jointly promote sustainable development.

As the theme of “WE SHARE”, Tianqi Lithium will, in line with its principle that economic interests should come at no expense of the environment, health and safety, join hands with partners along the value chain to actively fulfill CSR and continuously promote R&D and application of green, environmental-friendly and innovative technologies. By doing so we can promote the integration, innovation and sustainable development of new-energy industry chain, accelerate the green transition of energy industry and contribute to the harmony between humanity and nature.
