Recently, Liu Hongjian, member of the Standing Committee of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, secretary of Kunming Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Party Working Committee of Dianzhong New District, led a Party and government delegation to visit Tianqi Lithium. Jiang Weiping, founder and chairman of the company, Jiang Anqi, vice chair, and other company leaders held talks with the delegation at the headquarters.

Jiang extended a warm welcome to the delegation first and then introduced the history, resource advantages, business layout and strategic development of the company since its establishment.

Liu introduced the achievements made during the city’s transition from tourism real estate to real industry in recent years, and highlighted its mineral resources, industrial advantages and location advantages. He mentioned that in the wake of China-Laos Railway, China-Laos Cooperation Zone will become more geographically competitive as the bridgehead of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area. He said the zone will create new opportunities for cross-region cooperation.

In the talks, Liu spoke highly of Tianqi Lithium’s achievements in recent years, and he said that the company, as a world-class lithium enterprise, has clear advantages in terms of resources and technology. And Kunming, with rich natural resources, pulls together competitive industries and enjoys location advantages. He welcomes Tianqi Lithium to visit Kunming.
Jiang was impressed by the Kunming Municipal Party Committee, as it pursues a different development philosophy, gives priority to development and upholds the spirit of hard work. He pointed out that Kunming is pretty competitive geographically, and the China-Laos Cooperation Demonstration Zone, leveraging the huge domestic market and the ASEAN connections, has great potential in cross-region development, cooperation and future growth.
