Santiago, June 11, 2019 – Tianqi Lithium Corporation ("Tianqi Lithium" or "the Company," stock code: SZ.002466) is delighted to be the Global Partner of The 11th Lithium Supply & Markets Conference ("LSM Conference"), one of the most authoritative events in the lithium industry organized by Fastmarkets. This year the LSM Conference was hosted by SQM from June 10th to 12th in Santiago, Chile. Following Tianqi Lithium's significant investment in SQM, Tianqi Lithium has started fostering close ties with Chile. This partnership reflects Tianqi Lithium's commitment to connect global industry players with the Chilean community.

Vivian Wu, Executive Director & President of Tianqi Lithium, delivered a keynote speech encouraging progressive transparency and a strong focus on sustainability to create a greener future. "Transparency is a journey that is growing and evolving as quickly as lithium market demand. Tianqi Lithium has decided to be pro-active on the matter and we are in the midst of our journey." Ms. Wu said.

During the LSM Conference, over 400 members from the global lithium industry had an open and in-depth discussion on various critical topics. It was largely agreed that the adjustments made by the major industry players when planning their production capacity added confidence to the market in addition to the striving long term demand from downstream consumers.

Prior to the LSM Conference, a Tianqi Lithium delegation led by Chairman Weiping Jiang were invited by SQM to visit SQM's lithium, iodine and nitrate operations in northern Chile. An introductory meeting with other SQM shareholders will be held during the visit to strengthen the mutual understanding and trust between Tianqi Lithium and SQM shareholders.

From June 5th to 7th, the Tianqi Lithium team also met with various stakeholders and regulators in Chile, including the Ministry of Environment, the Mining Minister and the Minister of Economy to explore ways to contribute to an effective lithium industry chain and eco-system in Chile.
