Recently, the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Department of Tianqi Lithium, in collaboration with the Shehong base, successfully held its quarterly EHS team workshop. The event received strong support and attention from the company’s headquarters and various production bases.Nearly 30 EHS professionals from Tianqi Lithium’s headquarters, production bases, project teams, and Tianqi Group attended the workshop in person, while others participated online. The workshop featured a diverse format combining sharing sessions, discussions, and training. It aimed to strengthen cross-site collaboration, distill best practices in EHS management, enhance team execution, and continuously improve the company’s EHS management system.

The workshop set six core topics and used practical methods such as case simulations, role-playing, and impromptu exercises to facilitate in-depth discussions. In terms of safety production standardization, the workshop used the Shehong base as a case study to systematically share the process and key points of creating safety production standards, promoting the implementation of standardized systems across the Group and its various bases. Regarding the optimization of EHS legal and regulatory compliance assessments, the workshop focused on the challenges and experiences in the evaluation process. Using the 5W2H analysis method, the team developed an efficient evaluation system to enhance the effectiveness of the assessments.

In the EHS training capability development session, the workshop introduced a case-based approach to build a systematic training mechanism following the full-cycle design of "needs–planning–implementation–evaluation–follow-up." During the discussion on the transformation of occupational health management, participants began with the topic of PPE usage and explored behavior change pathways—from passive compliance to proactive protection. The session also provided a structured overview of the five key modules of occupational health management. The workshop also focused on EHS incident prevention and control. By analyzing incident data, participants identified key types of incidents and corresponding control priorities, thereby reinforcing the importance of proactive prevention measures. In the session on emergency response capability building, external experts were invited to provide professional guidance on four key areas: emergency management, contingency planning, emergency drills, and response capability. The session emphasized the integration of plans and drills, and the design of realistic scenarios to enhance practical emergency response capabilities.

The workshop was lively throughout, with participants actively contributing and collaborating. They tackled common challenges such as the difficulties in safety production standardization, the role of EHS legal and regulatory compliance assessments, the use of the E-HR training platform and the establishment of internal EHS trainers, PPE selection and handling of occupational hazards, EHS incident management, emergency scenario design, and the enhancement of part-time emergency response team capabilities.

In the concluding session, EHS Director Pan Xin mentioned that the workshop systematically enhanced the professional skills of the EHS team through in-depth sessions on EHS legal and regulatory compliance assessments, EHS training management, occupational health management, EHS incident management, and emergency management training. He emphasized that by building a cross-base collaboration platform and bringing together professional expertise, the team was able to develop executable action plans, laying a solid foundation for improving EHS effectiveness. The company will continue to advance the EHS team seminar mechanism, leveraging innovation to strengthen team cohesion and drive the improvement of EHS management capabilities, ultimately empowering the company’s safe, efficient, and sustainable operations.

The path to safety is paved by action; the power of collaboration lies in unity. Looking ahead, Tianqi Lithium will continue to advance its EHS management through concrete actions, promoting continuous improvement. By fostering a regular communication and experience-sharing mechanism, the company aims to build a solid foundation of safety to support its high-quality and sustainable development.
