Tianqi Director & President HA, Frank Chun Shing, Vice President Xiong Wanyu and two other representatives went to Beijing to meet with Chilean Ambassador to China Luis Schmidt on October 22, 2021. The two sides exchanged their views on the economic, trade and investment cooperation between Chinese and Chilean enterprises.

On behalf of the company, Mr. HA, Frank Chun Shing explained to Mr. Ambassador the resources and process layout of Tianqi in the global lithium industry, especially its manufacturing and operations in its Chilean joint stock companies, and looked forward to the promising future of cooperating with Chilean enterprises. Additionally, Mr. HA shared several practical cases which showed Tianqi’s commitment to green development and social responsibilities, and expressed the company's willingness to strengthen ecological protection and give back to the Chilean society.

Mr. Ambassador first extended a warm welcome to representatives of Tianqi for their visit to the Chilean Embassy in China. He pointed out that, with the joint efforts of the two governments and diplomatic officials, the Consulate General of Chile in Chengdu was officially opened on July 8, 2021, which marked the further strengthening of China-Chile comprehensive strategic partnership. It also laid a solid and powerful foundation for Chinese enterprises, especially those in the central and western regions, to engage in economic, trade and investment activities in Chile. He then illustrated trade relations between the two countries in recent years and the reserve and exploitation of lithium resources in Chile. Lastly, he invited Tianqi leaders to the upcoming Chile Week, hoping that Chinese enterprises will fully understand the policies and regulations, investment and business environment in Chile, so that more of them will invest and thrive in the country.
