2022 “Capital of Lithium Power" Industrial Ecology and Supply Chain Conference, themed “Developing Lithium Power Ecology, Achieving Carbon Peak and Neutrality” was held in Shehong, Suining, Sichuan on April 27-28, 2022. Leaders and guests from China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID), Chinese Academy of Engineering, government departments at different levels, industry associations, upstream and downstream companies and news media gathered together to discuss the new opportunities, new trends and new patterns of high-quality development of the lithium power industry for its high-end, green and modern development in Suining. Jiang Weiping, founder and chairman of Tianqi Lithium, was invited to this conference and delivered a speech.

Jiang said that as the global energy landscape undergoes profound changes and the national new energy strategy advances, it’s a landmark decision made by CCID to release China Lithium Power Industry Development Index (Suining Index) in Shehong, Suining. The past three decades witnessed how Shehong-based Tianqi Lithium has become the world's leading new energy material enterprise with lithium as its core. Now as the country implements the “dual circulation” strategy in which domestic economic cycle plays a leading role while international economic cycle remains its extension and supplement, the company will take the lead to promote cooperation and communication on lithium power industries at home and abroad. What’s more, by leveraging its world-class resource layout, mining capacity and processing capacity, it will make significant contribution to the upgrading of industrial foundation, modernization of industrial chain and factor intensification in Shehong, Suining and even across the whole country.

They also went to Tianqi Lithium’s Shehong Base to visit China Lithium Power Industry Big Data platform and the exhibition hall of lithium battery industry, and held a discussion on the future development of the industry.
