On July 13, Peng Chen, secretary general of  Science, Technology, Education and Health Sector and committee member of Suining Youth Federation (hereinafter referred to as "Youth Federation-Science, Education and Health Sector"), led a delegation to the 2022 Science and Technology Week organized by Sichuan Key Laboratory of Lithium Resources and Lithium Materials (hereinafter referred to as "Provincial Key Laboratory") in Shehong Plant of Tianqi. Science and Technology Week is a large-scale public sci-tech activity established by the State Council in 2001, which plays a key role in promoting the coordinated development between sci-tech innovation and science popularization.

Xu Chuan, deputy director of the Provincial Key Laboratory, introduced the delegation to  Tianqi Lithium Co., Ltd., the supporting organization of the Key Laboratory, as well as the laboratory including its construction, organizational structure, operation mechanism, functions, and scientific research. Yin Zhigang, the academic leader of the Provincial Key Laboratory, delivered a lecture on "Comprehensive Utilization of Mineral Resources", explaining the mineral beneficiation methods, the purpose and significance of comprehensive utilization of resources. In addition, he also shared a video of the operational process of mineral beneficiation and shows various mineral crystals, such as spodumene, calcite, pyrite, autunite, etc.

Peng Chen and Lu Hongmei, a committee member of the Youth Federation, expressed the hope to further enhance communication and cooperation with Tianqi Lithium and Provincial Key Laboratories. They want to invite laboratory experts to schools in Suining to popularize science, introduce and even bring equipment and materials to the school, as an effort to help students make up their minds to study science and build up their hometown, and foster an atmosphere of valuing science in the school. Xu also expressed his willingness to strengthen cooperation with the Youth Federation and science, education and health sectors on popular science education, personnel training and innovation mechanisms. He hoped that both sides could jointly promote scientific and technological development of Suining and build it into a city marked by intelligent manufacturing, sound ecological environment and fine culture as well as the capital of lithium, gas and water.
