Tianqi Lithium and Argentina's YPF Energy Company signed a memorandum on (MOU) industrial chain cooperation online on August 18. Ms. Jiang Anqi, Vice Chair of Tianqi Lithium, Mr. HA Frank Chun Shing, Tianqi's Director and CEO, Mr. D. Gustavo Sabino Vaca Narvaja, Argentina's Ambassador to China, Ms. Xia Diya, Minister Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Argentina, Mr. Zhang Yechu, Deputy Director of Sichuan Office of Foreign Affairs, etc. attended the signing ceremony. Mr. Marcos Sabelli, Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at YPF, Mr. Roberto Salvareza, President of YPF's Technical Branch, and head of the Tianqi Lithium Chile Office attended the signing ceremony at the venue of YPF.

Mr. D. Gustavo Sabino Vaca Narvaja, Ambassador of Argentina to China, noted that China is a strategic partner for Argentina's economic development and an undisputed leader in the global supply chain of the lithium industry. The two countries can play a significant role together in the world's transition to green energy. The cooperation can also consolidate Argentina's position as a major supplier of lithium resources and facilitate the industrialization of Argentina's lithium industry.

Mr. Zhang Yechu, Deputy Director of the Sichuan Office of Foreign Affairs, congratulated the two sides for signing the MOU and pointed out that the office would, as always, serve as a bridge between Tianqi Lithium and the Argentine side, providing necessary facilities and assistance for win-win outcomes.

Mr. HA Frank Chun Shing, Tianqi's Director and CEO, said that in line with the BRI Memorandum between China and Afghanistan, the two sides signed the MOU, through which the two companies will exert their respective industrial advantages and jointly explore and evaluate possible future cooperation on energy, mineral resources, environmental protection, talent exchange, sci-tech innovation, etc.
