Recently, the “Seminar on Infrastructure Construction in Colombia”, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by Beijing Jiaotong University, visited Tianqi Lithium for study and exchange. The Seminar consisted of 20 officials from various Colombian government departments and institutions, including the National Planning Department (Departamento Nacional de Planeación), the National Infrastructure Agency (La Agencia Nacional de Infraestructura), and the Superintendence of Industrial and Commerce. The team of Tianqi warmly welcomed the Seminar and accompanied them to visit the Li Science Museum.
At Tianqi’s Li Science Museum, the Seminar gained an in-depth understanding of the development and utilization of lithium resources, the important role lithium plays in the global energy transition process, and Tianqi’s practical achievements in sustainable development. They also had in-depth exchanges with the team of Tianqi on topics such as the coordinated development of lithium electricity and infrastructure construction, and the construction of green industrial chains.
Officials from the Seminar expressed their appreciation for Tianqi’s innovative achievements in promoting the global green and low-carbon energy transition. They hoped to effectively apply the advanced concepts and practical experiences learned during this trip to China to the development paths suitable for Colombia's national conditions. Mr. Daniel Villegas, Director of the Office of the Superintendence of Industrial and Commerce, expressed sincere gratitude to Tianqi for its warm hospitality, and the detailed and vivid introduction left a deep impression on him and ignited his ardent expectation for future cooperation between the two sides.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Colombia. The strategic partnership between the two countries continues to deepen, and they are exploring new models of win-win development in multiple fields. In the future, Tianqi will continue to actively promote international exchanges and cooperation in the lithium electricity industry. It hopes to take this visit as an opportunity to explore the integration points of the lithium electricity industry and infrastructure construction with all sectors in Colombia to make positive contributions to promoting green and low-carbon development and mutual benefits in both countries and China-Latin America region.
