On November 16th, Ms. Jiang Anqi, Vice Chairman of Tianqi Lithium Corporation, held a cordial discussion with Ms. Aurora Williams, the Minister of Mining of Chile. They exchanged views on a range of topics including Chile's National Lithium Strategy, potential growth opportunities in the lithium-ion battery sector, ESG and sustainable development in the context of energy transition, and explored potential avenues for collaboration. Mr. Rodrigo Urquiza, the Director of the Foreign Affairs Doctorate of Chile’s Ministry of Mining, and Mr. HA Frank Chun Shing, Executive Director of Tianqi Lithium Corporation, among other leaders, were present at the meeting. Both parties expressed the desire to continue strengthening communication and collaboration, and to jointly seek new opportunities for cooperative development.  

Amidst the visit of Chilean President Boric to China, both nations issued a “Joint Statement”, articulating their aspiration for enterprises from both countries to bolster cooperation in the lithium-ion battery sector and further solidify their strategic partnerships.
