"Second Net-Zero Collaborative Innovation Conference” Successfully Held in Tianqi Lithium

On September 9, Tianqi Lithium Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the Chengdu Net-Zero Collaborative Innovation, government and enterprise units, and social organizations, successfully held the "Kejinghui · Eco-innovation Partner Program"—the Second Collaborative Innovation Conference at Xinglong Lake in Chengdu. The conference focused on net-zero technology innovation and application, pathways for low-carbon economic development, and new models for international cooperation. Centered around industry, the discussions delved into strategies for building net-zero parks, enhancing ESG capabilities, innovative applications of green finance, and developing sustainable supply chains, deeply exploring enterprise needs and providing participants with macro perspectives and cutting-edge information.



Ms. Yang Yong, Party Secretary and Vice Chair of the Chengdu Association for Science and Technology, delivered a speech at the event. She stated that global climate change is a common challenge we face today, and that technological innovation leading to sustainable development will be the trend for future international community development.




Ms. Wanyu Xiong, Senior Vice President of Tianqi Lithium, delivered a speech on behalf of Tianqi Lithium, stating that as a steadfast participant in the global green energy industry, Tianqi Lithium is actively promoting the construction of net-zero carbon communities through continuous technological innovation and cross-sector collaboration. Under the guidance of the Chengdu Association for Science and Technology, Tianqi has jointly initiated the Chengdu Net-Zero Carbon Collaborative Innovation with key domestic universities, research institutes, and enterprises. Currently, Tianqi has assisted the Qiyang community in Shuangliu in achieving net-zero carbon status and has been selected as one of the first pilot units for net-zero emissions zones in Chengdu, serving as a typical case of practical implementation of net-zero cases.


Fei Teng, Vice Dean of Peking University's Guanghua School of Management; Hongying Wang, Director of the China (Hong Kong) Financial Derivatives Investment Research Institute; Wu Changhua, Director of the Jeremy Rifkin China Office; Shi Han, Senior Research Fellow at the University of Hong Kong's Contemporary China and World Research Center; and Sun Lihui, Director of the China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters and Founder of the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RCI), shared their experiences and discussed cooperation on the theme of "Technological Innovation Leading Sustainable Development." During the sharing session, Cao Yuan, Partner at SynTao Co., Ltd., and Gui Hao, Director of the HQTS Sustainable Development Institute, moderated two roundtable discussions titled "Empowering the Net-Zero Carbon Era through Technological Innovation" and "Net-Zero Carbon Initiative: A Net Zero Future."


In addition, global partners from 12 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Perth, announced the "Net-Zero Carbon Future: Global Partnership Plan." This plan aims to build a platform for collaborative innovation, fostering consensus through exchanges and interactions from various dimensions, and bringing together the pieces of the puzzle for a net-zero future.


    


    


Against the backdrop of a new era in the renewable energy industry, Tianqi Lithium, as a supporter of global climate governance, looks forward to working hand in hand with partners to build a more prosperous, greener, and more sustainable ecosystem for technological innovation.
