On September 5, Meaghan Shaw, the Australian Consul-General in Chengdu, along with her delegation, visited Tianqi Lithium Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Tianqi Lithium"). Anqi Jiang, Chairlady of Tianqi Lithium, and Frank Ha, Director & CEO of Tianqi Lithium, warmly welcomed the delegation with the company’s senior management team. The meeting was also attended by Nina Dynon, Deputy Consul-General of Australia in Chengdu, Helen Dai, Deputy Consul-General of Australia in Chengdu, and Lannis Patin, Commercial Counsellor of the Australian Embassy in China.

During the meeting, Ms. Anqi Jiang first congratulated Consul-General Meaghan Shaw on her new appointment in Sichuan, and provided a detailed introduction to the development history of Tianqi Lithium and its investments in Australia. Tianqi's Kwinana plant in Western Australia, being the country's first lithium hydroxide plant, has long been regarded as a model of Sino-Australian cooperation. The two parties have a solid foundation of collaboration in areas such as lithium chemical technology exchange, talent development, and community sustainability, and have built a strong relationship over time. Ms. Jiang expressed her gratitude to Consul-General Shaw for her continued support of Tianqi Lithium and expressed the hope to further deepen economic and trade relations with Australia, enhance cooperation, and empower both sides to jointly advance in the lithium-ion battery industry.

Consul-General Meaghan Shaw expressed that Tianqi Lithium is a new energy materials company with a global vision. In light of the new opportunities emerging in the global lithium battery industry, the Australian Consulate-General in Chengdu is willing to continue playing a bridging role to support the ongoing development of cooperation between Tianqi and Australia. The two sides then engaged in in-depth discussions on topics of mutual interest, including Tianqi’s business operations in Australia, its overseas ESG responsibilities, and the global transition to green energy.

Tianqi Lithium, a new energy materials company with lithium at its core, embraces the responsibility philosophy of "CHANGING THE WORLD WITH LITHIUM." The company actively invests in global lithium battery material resources and processing capacities. Looking ahead, given the high level of economic complementarity between China and Australia, there is enormous potential for further collaboration. Tianqi Lithium will continue to deepen its cooperation with Australia, enhancing its role and value across the supply chain.
