Ms. Anqi Jiang congratulated everyone on the successful convening of the meeting and emphasized that Lithium Resources and Lithium Materials Key Laboratory of Sichuan Province, as the only key laboratory focused on raw materials in the lithium industry, bears an even greater mission and responsibility. She highlighted that the laboratory must maintain an open mindset, innovative thinking, and a pragmatic approach, while actively embracing change and courageously tackling the unknown. The laboratory should continue advancing along the path of technological innovation and industrial upgrading. Additionally, she expressed her hope that the committee members would continue to contribute their wisdom and expertise, offering valuable advice and guidance on the laboratory’s strategic planning, research directions, and collaborations between industry, academia, and research.
Subsequently, Mr. Chuan Xu, Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory, delivered a detailed report to the attendees on the laboratory’s achievements over the past year and its future development plans. He noted that significant progress had been made in areas such as research infrastructure development, technology transfer, and standardized operations, which garnered high praise from the committee members. The members not only actively offered strategies for the laboratory’s future development but also provided many forward-looking and constructive suggestions. They encouraged the laboratory to continue playing a vital role in the lithium battery field, deeply integrate with, and contribute to, the development of the lithium battery industry chain in Sichuan Province and across the country, working together to elevate the industry to new heights of excellence and quality.
At the meeting, Mr. Hong Li and Mr. Wei Sun, members of the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory, each delivered academic reports. Mr. Hong Li’s presentation, titled "Key Materials for All-Solid-State Batteries," provided a comprehensive and in-depth analysis, exploring the development trends and challenges of next-generation battery technologies from the perspectives of material research and market application. Mr. Wei Sun’s report, "Clean and Synergistic Smelting of Hard Rock Lithium Ores and Lithium Slag Materialization Technology," was closely aligned with industry realities, offering an innovative approach to lithium slag treatment. His insights provided valuable reference points for achieving the green and efficient utilization of lithium resources.
As the cornerstone of the new energy industry, lithium's sustainable development and the innovative research of its materials are of vital importance for the green, low-carbon transition and even global sustainable development. The Key Laboratory, as a pioneering explorer in this field, carries the significant mission of driving technological progress and serving industry development. Looking ahead, the laboratory will move forward with greater determination, closely following the forefront of international scientific and technological advances, deepening interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuously fostering the vitality and potential of independent innovation. It will contribute wisdom and strength to the efficient utilization of lithium resources and technological innovation in lithium materials, both in China and globally.
The successful conclusion of this annual work meeting not only served as a summary and affirmation of the Key Laboratory's achievements over the past year but also laid the groundwork for its future development and strategic planning.
