Based on the “Tianqi Global Public Welfare Platform”, Chengdu Branch and Shehong Branch have initiated the “Brightest Star” community season thematic volunteer service brand project. With deep care for children with special needs and special education teachers, we have explored the concept of integrating special education with typical education. Over the years, we have maintained close cooperation with Shehong Special Education School for many years to implement the “Brightest Star” program.

Key components include: (1) providing warm winter care packages to special education students and teachers during holidays; (2) after internal training, volunteers enter the classrooms to conduct the “Lithium Classroom” course (special education version), a course designed based on the psychological characteristics of special children, emphasizing interactive engagement through hands-on games; (3) understanding the specialized curriculum of special educators and students, linking it to the

“Tianqi Global Public Welfare Platform”, and enhancing interaction with relevant overseas groups.

In September 2023, the volunteer team, guided by the children and special education teachers, experienced the unique curriculum of “Sichuan Embroidery Workshop”. The vivid embroidery pieces reflect the children’s hopes for a brighter future, and the volunteers plan to bring these works to Australia and Chile for charity auctions, assisting the children in achieving their beautiful aspirations.

November 2024, volunteers from Tianqi Lithium, filled with warmth and equipped with supplies, visited Shehong Special Education School to conduct the "Brightest Star" themed volunteer service.

In an opening address, a representative of the volunteers expressed deep respect for the teachers and encouraged the students to shape their own lives with resilience and a positive outlook, striving to become “the brightest stars.” The representative also shared Tianqi’s decade-long dedication to volunteer service in special education, highlighting a long-standing commitment to these efforts.

The volunteers led younger students in a “gesture dance,” filling the room with joy as the children laughed and smiled, enjoying the playful interaction. Meanwhile, other volunteers teamed up with older students to craft sunflower baskets, creating symbol-laden designs representing life, strength, and hope. These handmade baskets, imbued with the children’s spirit and best wishes, will soon travel across the ocean to be featured in a charity auction in Western Australia.
