To enhance safety leadership, actively promote safety initiatives, implement corporate safety responsibilities, and foster a safety culture at Tianqi Lithium, the Environmental Health and Safety Department organized the "Safety Production Month" — Safety Leadership Training on June 6, 2024, at Hall 209 of Tianqi Lithium Headquarters in Chengdu. Chairlady Jiang Anqi and CEO Frank Ha attended the event. Executives of Tianqi Lithium, department heads, and EHS personnel participated in the training onsite, while site managers, deputy general managers, and EHS managers joined online synchronously.

The training invited Professor Wang Linyuan, Vice Dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Southwest Petroleum University, as the keynote speaker. Professor Wang combined current safety production challenges and national policy directions to provide a comprehensive analysis of safety issues in the chemical industry. He also shared effective strategies for building safety leadership. The training focused on five core themes: current safety situations and national policy directions, building safety leadership, the role and impact of empathetic leadership in safety, safety production responsibility systems, and fostering safety culture. Professor Wang delivered vivid lectures using detailed data and specific case studies, illustrating how enhancing safety leadership can help employees truly understand the importance of safety production and promote the formation and development of a company's safety culture.

After the conclusion of the training, Mr. Frank Ha, CEO of the company, delivered a concluding speech. He began by emphasizing that safety is paramount above all else. He then provided four directives to all employees: Firstly, he stressed that safety issues should not be overlooked, and that attention to detail is crucial. Secondly, he emphasized that safety is everyone's responsibility; it is not the responsibility of any single person, department, or entity, but rather a collective responsibility of every individual within the company. Thirdly, he highlighted the importance of education and promotion, ensuring that safety principles, knowledge, awareness, and intentions are ingrained in the hearts of all employees. Finally, he reiterated that safety is the lifeline of the company, urging every employee to feel a sense of mission and responsibility towards safety.

This June marks the 23rd National "Safety Production Month" in China, themed "Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Masters Emergency Response - Smooth the Channel of Life." Tianqi Lithium's Environmental Health and Safety Department has organized a series of activities aimed at strengthening safety awareness and enhancing the emergency response capabilities of all employees. Upcoming activities include online safety knowledge competitions, micro-video contests on safety production, specialized emergency inspections, and focused training on red-line prohibitions. Everyone is encouraged to actively participate in these events.
