(September 24, 2023) Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, met with Frank Ha, Director & CEO of Tianqi Lithium Corporation. The meeting involved detailed discussions on various topics.

Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef introduced Saudi Arabia's new industrial and mining policies. He indicated the country’s plan to simplify investment procedures and enhance investment transparency to provide a secure and reliable investment environment for foreign investors. Mr. Frank Ha provided an overview on the industry-leading position and global presence of Tianqi Lithium. The two sides also engaged in friendly exchanges on strengthening the response to global climate change and promoting cooperation in the field of new energy.

Apart from the well-known petroleum and natural gas reserves, Saudi Arabia also possesses high-quality mineral resources such as cobalt, lithium, titanium, and rare earth, leading to inherent advantages for the development of new energy sources. China and Saudi Arabia have a solid economic cooperation foundation with substantial development potential. Strengthening the collaboration in new energy will contribute to the rapid and sustainable growth of the global industrial value chain.
