Sustainability
Tianqi Lithium is committed to establishing a green, safe, and responsible supply chain and has built a comprehensive procurement management system. We have strictly implemented systematic management processes for suppliers, including screening, admission, reviewing, and assessment, incorporating multi-dimensional factors such as environmental protection, human rights, anti-corruption, occupational health and safety, and social responsibility. Tianqi Lithium adopts differentiated measures for various supplier categories. It assesses and tracks suppliers’ ESG performance, monitors supplier compliance, and continuously enhances sustainable supply chain risk management through supplier due diligence, anomaly monitoring and on-site audits, thus ensuring that suppliers effectively meet Tianqi’s Global Code of Business Conduct and sustainability requirements.
Responsible Mineral Management
Tianqi Lithium consistently adhered to a policy of not purchasing, processing, or selling conflict minerals, dedicated to promoting a responsible mineral supply chain. We have adhered to documents such as the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for
Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas (Third Edition) and the Chinese Due Diligence Guidelines for Mineral Supply Chain (Second Edition). We have developed and implemented management systems, including the Responsible Mineral Supply Chain Management Manual, the Responsible Mineral Supply Chain Due Diligence and Risk Identification Control Procedure, and the Code of Conduct for Responsible Mineral Suppliers.
We have strictly prohibited engaging in mineral resource extraction, trading, processing, or exportation in conflict-affected and high-risk areas, fully respected the rights of indigenous peoples and local communities, thoroughly considered potential environmental and social impacts and established corresponding mitigation measures, and collaborated with clients and suppliers to build a responsible mineral supply chain.
