On January 22, Tianqi Lithium Corporation’s “Tianqi Lithium” branded lithium carbonate was officially approved for inclusion in the registered brand list for lithium carbonate futures on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange, becoming the first registered brand for this product. According to Announcement [2026] No. 8 issued by the exchange, the brand designation will officially take effect on February 2, 2026.

This approval marks authoritative recognition of Tianqi Lithium’s lithium carbonate in terms of product quality systems, production processes, and standardized management. It represents an upgrade from a “deliverable product” to a “branded deliverable product.” As a registered brand, the product may directly participate in futures delivery without requiring repeated quality inspections—reducing inspection costs for clients and significantly improving delivery efficiency.

As a globally recognized producer of lithium resources and lithium materials, Tianqi Lithium had previously obtained qualification as a designated delivery warehouse for lithium carbonate futures on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange. The successful registration of its brand further completes the Company’s integrated “production–storage–delivery” value chain layout. It provides industry participants with clearer quality standards, lower delivery costs, and more efficient risk management tools, thereby enhancing the ability of the lithium carbonate futures market to better serve the real economy.
