During the scorching summer, as the sun blazes overhead, Sichuan has recently experienced continuous high temperatures. Tianqi Lithium (Shehong) Co.,Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Tianqi Shehong)’s has always paid great attention to environmental protection and community engagement, with a deep understanding of the actual needs of stakeholders in the company’s local area. On September 6, the Tianqi Shehong Union and ESG Volunteer Team visited the Northern Space Community in Shehong, collaborating with the local fire brigade to carry out the "Hand in Hand to Fight the Heat, Heart to Heart to Build a Blue Sky" heat care activity. This event further strengthened the relationship between the company’s operations and the surrounding stakeholders.
At the event, Tianqi Shehong’s EHS Department introduced to street office representatives, community workers, and residents the measures and results achieved by the Shehong plant in wastewater, waste gas, solid waste, noise management, and emergency preparedness. Looking ahead, the Shehong plant will continue to explore potential improvements in resource investment, process flow, and technical equipment, with a sincere commitment to protecting the ecological environment.
Next, Tianqi Shehong 's Administration Department shared the company’s ESG and sustainability principles, focusing on efforts in corporate social responsibility, charitable donations, and engaging members of the value chain, which received unanimous recognition and praise from those present.
In response to the residents’ needs, Tianqi Shehong prepared refreshing supplies, including watermelons, herbal tea, drinking water, heatstroke prevention medicines, and towels. The vice-chairman of Tianqi Shehong Union, on behalf of the company, distributed these supplies to resident representatives, community workers, and outdoor sanitation workers.
Finally, the group of conveying greetings & appreciation visited the Shehong Northern Fire and Rescue Station to greet the firefighters on the front lines, offering them cool refreshments and sincere wishes. The team expressed gratitude for the firefighters' efforts in ensuring the safety and stability needed for the company’s ongoing development.
