With its exceptional properties, lithium, as a precious gift from nature, has been driving the high-quality development of human society. With more than 30 years of dedicated focus in the lithium industry, Tianqi Lithium Corporation (TLC) has utilized its extensive industry experience, robust technical strength, and genuine industry commitment to meticulously build the world's first "Li Science Museum" in the global lithium industry. On October 15th, 2023, the Li Science Museum officially opened its doors, welcoming its first distinguished guests, including the President of Chile, Gabriel Boric, and his delegation.

Nestled along the picturesque Xinglong Lake in the core ecological belt of the Tianfu New Area in Sichuan, the Li Science Museum serves as a comprehensive science museum covering lithium development, providing popular science education. Spanning three floors with a total area of approximately 550 square meters, the museum comprises five exhibition zones: Information Zone, Industry Zone, Outlook Zone, History Zone, and Sustainable Development Institute Zone. By harnessing state-of-the-art audiovisual technology and captivating visual interactive installations, the museum endeavors to enlighten the public about the past, present, and future of lithium. It narrates the scientific story behind the essential element while consistently advocating for the principles of sustainable development and the harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature.

The museum's ground floor features a striking LED curved screen, stretching about 12 meters in length. The showcased film, “Origin”, takes the audience on a journey through the birth, development, utilization, and environmental considerations of lithium. It explores the origins of the universe, the Earth's pristine ecology, and the concept of a “zero-carbon planet”. The immersive viewing experience allowed President Gabriel Boric and his delegation to truly feel the positive impact of lithium on the progress of human civilization.

As the delegation ascended to the second floor of the museum, they were greeted by the main exhibition area. Here, advanced exhibition techniques, including high-definition spherical projection, are employed to showcase the utilization of lithium, the industry’s evolution, and provide a glimpse into the future of this vital element. The Science Museum is equipped with interactive devices, ensuring an engaging and enjoyable experience for visitors. President Gabriel Boric displayed genuine interest in the exhibition, actively engaging with the interactive devices and immersing himself in the fascinating interactions.

The third floor of the Li Science Museum houses the “Sustainable Development Institute,” where exhibition facilities are crafted from recycled and sustainable materials, exemplifying the company’s commitment to sustainable development.

During a special meeting in the "Lithium Classroom”, President Boric warmly interacted with 20 students participating in the “China-Chile New Energy Talent Program” supported by Tianqi Lithium Corporation. The students extended a warm welcome to President Boric, and learned to speak a popular local phrase “Chengdu hen bashi” (Chengdu is great) in the Sichuan dialect with the president. The sound of happy voices and laughter filled the air.

President Boric conveyed a profound sense of care for the educational and living experiences of the students during their study tour, expressing his optimistic anticipation for their promising future. He encouraged them to cherish this opportunity and bring back advanced technology and knowledge to Chile. Additionally, President Boric expressed his hope that students can showcase the spirit and ethos of Chile in China.

Accompanied by a staff member, President Boric had the opportunity to personally experience the cutting-edge Smart electric vehicle, a significant investment made by Tianqi Lithium Corporation in the field of new energy vehicles. The visits of President Boric to the Li Science Museum culminated in a triumphant conclusion, characterized by a warm and convivial atmosphere.
