The year 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the Beijing World Conference on Women and the release of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. Over the past three decades, China has made relentless strides in advancing women’s rights and interests. Women’s educational attainment has continuously improved, and their employment oppotunities have expanded, with women excelling across diverse industries. The enhanced development environment for Chinese women and their remarkable achievements not only vividly reflect China’s progress in development and civilization but also contribute significantly to global equality, development, and peace.


Jing He, Forklift Operator of Packaging: “With passion and dedication, everyone can shine on their career path.”
Operating a forklift demands both physical strength and agility. At Tianqi Lithium’s Yanting Base, He Jing embodies the essence of this role, in which slender shoulders bearing heavy responsibilities,through her dedication and professionalism.She believes that maneuvering a forklift at the base shares the same core principles as driving in daily life. Whether driving or operating machinery at work, success hinges on precise control, keen insight, and a deep understanding of mechanical systems. Every ignition and every load transfer not only tests the operator’s technical skill but also challenges their ability to make swift and accurate decisions in complex environments. Through her own experience, He Jing proves that gender is never a barrier to capability. With passion and dedication, everyone can thrive and shine in their professional journey.


 

Fen He, Deputy Shift Supervisor of Production Department: “Empowering Women Through Role Models and Potential—My 17 Years of Career Wisdom at Tianqi Lithium”
“Establishing female role models” and “stimulating women’s potential” are the career philosophies He Fen has refined over her 17-year journey at Tianqi Lithium. Since joining the company in 2008, she has drawn inspiration from outstanding women around her, absorbing their strengths while honing her own skills through mutual appreciation. From a front line operator at the Shehong Base to the Deputy Shift Supervisor at the Anju Base, He Fen has committed every detail of the production process to memory. Through relentless effort, she has become a respected role model—admired and learned from by peers in the industry. He Fen describes herself as a traditional person. In life, she nurtures her children with traditional values.At work, she emphasizes mastering operational fundamentals, imparting her decades of accumulated insights without reservation. She guides her team by resolving doubts and leading paths forward. It is precisely because of women like her that the power of female role models continues to be passed on.


 

Wu Xiuling, an Operator: “Responsibility is the best way to show my love for my job as an operator in the chemical industry for 8 years.”

Every morning at the Zhangjiagang base, Wu Xiuling arrives on time to start a busy but orderly day. With eight years of experience as an operator in chemical industry, her strong sense of  responsibility explains her deep passion for her work.

She meticulously checks every hazardous chemical pipeline and every detail, and carefully inspects eyewash equipment and electric tracing systems to ensure emergency facilities in sound condition. Xiuling also accurately records production data, archives every document and drives sweeper to clean the working area for a tidy environment for all colleagues. Her persistent efforts, as a seamless stream, ensure the safety and stability of the entire production line.

In her free time, Wu Xiuling enjoys gardening, so her balcony is always lush with green. She said that nurturing plants made her appreciate the power of life. The resilience of them inspires her to stay focused and calm when dealing with tedious and repetitive tasks. As a common worker, she finds her own path to grow through consistent effort and dedication.




Wu Kaixia, a SAP Engineer: “focusing on details and deep understanding of user’s experience allow me to refine and continuously optimize the SAP system.”

Wu Kaixia is an SAP engineer at Tianqi Lithium Co., Ltd. She writes thousands and millions lines of code to meet the functional needs of business departments.

Her work ranges from accurately processing financial data to optimizing procurement, and from building intelligent sales systems to efficiently integrating production. Her dedication to detail and user-centered idea enable her to further refine and optimize the SAP system, contributing to the ongoing advancement of the company’s information systems.

Technology and art intersect in her life. She is passionate about calligraphy, a skill she learned from her father as a child. To her, this passion and system design share the same essence and align perfectly in her work, because both of them require delicate perception, appropriate planning, and full concentration.



 

Jiao Wu, a R&D Engineer: “Women’s unique perspective and keen observation can bring new views and creativity to R&D work.”

After obtaining master’s degree in 2022, Jiao Wu joined R&D team in Chongqing Tianqi Lithium Co., Ltd. to research ultra-thin metal lithium and its derivative products. In this male-dominated field, she believes gender shouldn’t limit one’s career. “R&D needs diverse ideas. Women’s unique perspective and keen observation can bring new new views and creativity. More women in R&D will drive technology and society move forward,” she said.

In her colleagues’ eyes, Wu Jiao is not only highly professional and adept at learning, but also  appreciates life’s beauty. She hopes more women will join R&D in the future to help each other and collectively create a more diverse and dynamic work environment.



 

Yiga Lhamo, Archivist: “Archives Are Not Mere Objects—They Are Vessels of Time, Carrying the Past, Guiding the Future”
Tianqi Lithium’s Shenghe Base lies in the Cuo-La mining area of Ganzi’s Yajiang County, perched at an average altitude of 4,500 meters a midst a harsh alpine climate with low oxygen levels. Here, Yiga Lhamo dedicates herself to archives management. In her personal life, Lhamo enjoys reading novels, searching for clues and weaving together narratives between the lines. This same passion for exploration and documentation have made her highly good at managing archives. While archiving may sometimes be monotonous, her exceptional organizational skills ensure every critical document is precisely filed and rapidly retrievable, preserving clear milestones for the company’s development. Whether it is the archives in her hands or the books she reads in her free time, Lhamo bridges past and future through her unique lens. To her, archives and books are not merely object—they are vessels of time, carrying history while guiding the path forward.



Liu Xiaomei  Acidification Central Control Department: With 17 years dedicated to her career, she has been a paragon of responsibility and commitment. Faced with countless new challenges, she has never wavered or retreated even a little.
As one of the first commissioning technicians for the company's 2000T acidification system, Liu Xiaomei has always responded positively to the new and complex working environment and commissioning tasks. Every parameter setting and every piece of equipment fine-tuning is crucial for the smooth operation of the entire acidification central control system. Over her 17 years with Tianqi, she has faced countless new challenges without ever flinching. She always forges ahead through presistent attempts and relentless perseverance.
In the central control room, she keeps a close watch on the constantly fluctuating data on the screen, not letting a single subtle change slip by. With the focus and sharp insight that women often possess, she ensures the stable operation of the acidification central control system and has witnessed the ongoing optimization of the workflow. She has also meticulously trained countless new technicians, passing on her experience and wisdom to many others. Over the course of 17 years, she has embodied responsibility and commitment, becoming a pillar of strength on the front line of acidification central control and showcasing the boundless brilliance of women in the industrial field.


 

Ya Zheng EHS(Environmental Health and Safety)Department Manager:Women's attention to detail and patience, coupled with their excellent communication skills, enable us to focus more effectively on details and prevent risks. At the same time, these qualities also facilitate more efficient teamwork.
In the chemical industry, efficient production and strong capacity are key drivers, while safety is the cornerstone. Zheng Ya, as the Supervisor of the EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) Department at Tianqi Lithium's Chongqing base, uses her meticulousness and rigor to build high safety standards for the company, bringing a strong sense of security to every employee at the plant. Zheng Ya, with a professional background in safety engineering, has been deeply committed to the principles of EHS for a decade. She ensures that every safety measure is strictly implemented and every environmental requirement is effectively fulfilled. 
“Managing EHS work requires rigor, constant vigilance, and nipping problems in the bud,” said Zheng Ya. “Women's attention to detail, patience, excellent communication skills, and empathy enable us to focus more effectively on the finer points and prevent risks. These qualities also contribute to more efficient teamwork.” For her, safety is not only a professional requirement but also a way of life that brooks no slackening of effort.
