On July 31st, Mr. Joel Tan, Consul General of Singapore in Chengdu, visited Tianqi Lithium Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tianqi Lithium") with officials from the Singapore Enterprise Development Board and the Economic Development Board. Mr. Frank Li, Vice President of Strategic Development of Tianqi Lithium, warmly welcomed the visit with his team.
At the Li Science Museum, the Consul General and his delegation gained a deep understanding of the origin, evolution, and widespread use of lithium element in contemporary times, especially its significant importance in the green new energy industry, through panoramic immersive projection technology. Tianqi volunteers provided a detailed introduction to the distribution of global lithium resources and the collaborative efforts between the upstream and downstream of the lithium industry. Subsequently, the two sides held talks on topics such as the development of the lithium battery industry and energy transformation.
Vice President Frank Li warmly welcomed the visit of Consul General Joel Tan and the delegations, and introduced the company's development history and future strategic planning. He mentioned that Tianqi Lithium's business scope covers many key stages of the lithium industry chain, including not only upstream resource layout, but also lithium concentrate processing and sales, as well as the production and sales of lithium chemical products. Currently, it has five major production bases worldwide and has established partnerships with international customers with the advantage of vertical integration of the industry chain.
At the meeting, Weina Wang, ESG and Sustainable Development Director of Tianqi Lithium, invited the Consul General and the delegations to watch the Tianqi Carbon White Paper video "My Lithium for China", which discussed in detail Tianqi's actions and practices in the field of sustainable development. She also introduced that one of the current focuses of Tianqi's ESG work is to continuously improve the sustainable supply chain management system, enhance supply chain resilience and stability, and hopes to continue in-depth exchanges with Singapore in the field of sustainable development in the future.
The Consul General expressed gratitude to Vice President Frank Li and the Tianqi team for their warm reception. He is very pleased to see the successful establishment of connections between Tianqi Lithium and Singapore's economic and trade institutions. He hopes that in the future, both sides can utilize their respective resource advantages to further strengthen exchanges, enhance friendship, and jointly explore various forms of cooperation.
During the communication, both parties also discussed topics such as lithium battery recycling and green energy storage. Finally, Mr. Li presented Consul General Joel Tan with a renewable and eco-friendly bag made from natural oak bark, which is sourced from recycled cork.
As a new energy materials enterprise with an international perspective, Tianqi Lithium always adheres to the development principle of "economic interests never override safety and environmental protection", and integrates the concept of sustainable development into the company's production and operation from four dimensions: environment, society, governance, and influence.
