On July 12th, the Institute of Latin American Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Institute of Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the Chinese Academy of International Studies, as well as Latin American research experts and scholars from multiple domestic universities and research institutes, visited Tianqi Lithium for a visit and discussion. This visit and discussion is also the last agenda item of the 2024 Central American and Caribbean Development Forum. At the Li Science Museum, Tianqi volunteers gave a detailed introduction to the past and present of lithium element, the wide application scenarios of lithium batteries, and the prospects for the future development of the green energy industry. The group of Latin American experts and scholars also gained a deeper understanding and perception of the application of lithium elements and sustainable development achievements through panoramic intelligent interconnected exhibition halls.
During the meeting and exchange session, Ms. Xiong Wanyu warmly welcomed the arrival of experts and scholars, and shared the company's development history, ESG practice cases, and industrial layout. Mr. Li Guo introduced the history, current situation, and future prospects of the company's investment in Latin America. Experts and scholars expressed their concern for the dynamics of the new energy industry and affirmed Tianqi Lithium's overseas development, actively participating in discussions and creating a lively atmosphere on site.
Tianqi Lithium, as a new energy material enterprise with lithium as its core, takes the responsibility concept of "changing the world with lithium" and actively layouts global lithium battery material resources and processing capacity. In the future, given Tianqi's deep economic participation in Latin America, we look forward to maintaining communication and exchanges with experts and scholars from all walks of life, continuously strengthening mutual understanding and dialogue with Latin America in multiple dimensions such as economy, trade, and culture. The 2024 Development Seminar for Central America and the Caribbean was held on July 11 at Southwest University of Science and Technology. 20 leaders, experts, and scholars from research institutes, think tanks, and other universities, including the Institute of Latin American Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended the meeting to engage in in-depth discussions on deepening development cooperation between China and Central American and Caribbean countries.
