On June 27, 2024, Brazilian Ambassador to China Marcos Galvão, accompanied by his wife Anna, Consul General of Brazil in Chengdu Cézar Amaral, and Rodrigo Gedeon, Head of the Brazil Export and Investment Promotion Agency in Beijing, visited Tianqi Lithium with the assistance of the provincial Foreign Affairs Office. They were warmly received by Mr. Li Guo, Vice President of Tianqi Lithium, and his team.
At the Li Science Museum, volunteers from Tianqi provided a detailed introduction to the history and current status of lithium, the evolution of the lithium battery industry, and future prospects. The ambassador and his delegation also vividly experienced the global distribution and reserves of lithium resources through 3D projection technology, along with specific applications of lithium in new energy materials, battery energy storage, glass ceramics, medicine, aerospace, and other fields.
After visiting the Li Science Museum, both sides engaged in a discussion. Vice President Li Guo first congratulated the opening of the Consulate General of Brazil in Chengdu and then introduced the company's development history, industrial layout, innovation research and development, and future prospects. Ambassador Galvão provided detailed information on Brazil's infrastructure development, business environment, and the status of new energy industry development. He sincerely invited Tianqi to invest in Brazil and collaborate in the development of the lithium battery industry together.
Finally, both sides also exchanged views and discussions on ESG principles and practices in sustainable development. They watched the original sand animation video "We share", which previously won the Sustainable Development Film Award at the Odyssey Film Festival. Ambassador Galvão highly praised Tianqi Lithium for the efforts in green energy transformation and sustainable development.
