The "Sustainable Markets Initiative" (SMI), proposed at the 2020 World Economic Forum in Davos, aims to unite global forces to collectively address climate change and biodiversity conservation, achieving sustainable development. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) takes the lead in organizing Chinese enterprises to participate in the establishment of the SMI China Council. Its objective is to build an international platform for Chinese businesses to coordinate and cooperate in global sustainable development efforts, thereby advocating the "Chinese voice" and proposing "Chinese solutions" in the global economic and environmental governance transformation.
