In his address, Xie Zhenhua, China's Special Envoy for Climate Change Affairs, emphasized the significance of bringing together entrepreneurs from China and around the world to discuss climate change and actions in response to the climate crisis.
Peter Bakker, President and Chairman of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), emphasized the global expectation for businesses to propose solutions and accelerate innovation to achieve the "1.5°C temperature control target," emphasizing the necessity of collaboration among businesses.
During the dialogue, Mr. Xia Juncheng of Tianqi Lithium primarily shared insights into the company's lithium aluminum silicate micron powder project, illustrating how Tianqi comprehensively recycles lithium residue, turning waste into valuable resources, substituting native mineral materials, and reducing environmental harm from waste emissions. He stated that Tianqi Lithium will continue to uphold the responsibility concept of "co-creating a lithium future," collaborating with stakeholders for sustained low-carbon actions, and contributing to global climate and ecological governance.
